NEW AND TIMELY PSAs 19765 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention/ “Screen for Life Campaign” PSAs: (:60, :30, :20): The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention/ Screen for Life: National Colorectal Cancer ActionCampaign featuring Meryl Streep, Morgan Freeman, Terrence Howard, and Jimmy Smits PSAs are available. Colorectal cancer is the second leading cancer killer in the United States. But it is preventable, through regular screenings. These PSAs, which have no end date for use, please help educate your listeners about taking preventive care by airing these PSAs as soon and as often as possible. 19611 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention PSAs (:30, :30): Please help educate your listeners on the dangers of Hepatitis C by using the PSAs as soon and as often as possible from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. These PSA have no end date for use, so please air it as soon and as often as possible. 19704 Council of the Great City Schools “Staircase” PSAs (:30): The Council of the Great City Schools asks for your help to inform your listeners of the Common Core State Standards that help ensure all students—regardless of their backgrounds or where they live—are held to the same high expectations that will help prepare them for success in college or their career. Currently, more than 45 states, including the District of Columbia have adopted the Common Core State Standards and are now working to implement them in schools and districts. These PSAs are evergreen and have no end date for use. 19785 Families Fighting Flu “Fighting Flu Epidemic” (:60, :30, :20): The flu is a serious illness that strikes between five and 20 percent of the U.S. population each year and kills more Americans than all other vaccine-preventable diseases combined. The disease is of particular concern for children. With a severe flu season underway, these PSAs provide timely and important tips so listeners can protect themselves and help prevent spreading the flu. Please educate your audience by airing the PSAs entitled "Paul's Vision", available in :30 lengths Sounds of Pertussis (:60, :30) Sanofi Pasteur and March of Dimes are working together on the Sounds of Pertussis® Campaign to help protect the health and wellness of adults and infants. The mission is to raise awareness about pertussis and to let parents and others in close contact with infants, know how important it is that they get vaccinated with an adult Tdap vaccine. The Sounds of Pertussis Campaign features a public service announcement (PSA) starring four-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion Jeff Gordon, as well as online and print educational patient materials designed for parents and family members. NATIONAL SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS 19056 Paralyzed Veterans of America PSAs "Ben Affleck Honors Service and Sacrifice " (:60, :30, :15) "Courage to Serve, Passion to Lead" (:60, :30, :20): : For more than 66 years, Paralyzed Veterans of America (Paralyzed Veterans) has been dedicated to helping those who have served our country. We ask you to please join us in our ongoing mission by airing our latest PSA campaign featuring actor Ben Affleck and Lance Corporal James Crosby, a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Through your support of our PSAs, you can help make a difference in the lives of the many veterans who are suffering from spinal cord injury or disease after serving their country in Iraq and Afghanistan. This campaign has no end date for use. GENERAL HEALTH TOPICS 19259 NPMA PSAs "Trust Your Instincts" and "Interrogation" PSAs (:60, :30, :15): As we continue this mission, we are pleased to provide our latest public service campaign featuring the following PSAs: "Trust Your Instincts" (:30) uses a creative approach to educate your audience about the serious health risks and damages that can be caused by cockroaches, rodents, termites and stinging insects and demonstrates that it's necessary to trust your instincts that tell you pests are bad and are something to be concerned about. "Interrogation" (:30), using a more playful and unique approach to help inform audiences about the harm common household pests can cause to our health. These PSAs do not have a specific end date. 19494 Pool Safely PSAs (:30) The Pool Safely: Simple Steps Save Lives campaign is the national information and education component of the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act, a vital child safety law. We are requesting your help in educating the American people about the campaign's simple water safety steps everyone can take to save a life.
